FAITH BUILDERS

The Power of Faith in God:

Isaiah 55:11

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not
return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall
prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”

By this, God has assured us about the impossibility of His promises not being fulfilled in our lives. This was proven in Daniel 10:13

“But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty
days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I
remained there with the kings of Persia”.

The angel was sent out to deliver answers to Daniel’s petition, but the Prince of Persia (the fallen angel or the devil) withstood him for twenty-one (21) days. However, since the Word of God cannot return unto Him void but must accomplish the intent of God, it was impossible for
the angel of God to return answers to Daniel’s prayer back to Him because of hindrance faced by the Prince of Persia. Thus, the angel has to stay there while experiencing a delay for 21 days.

This call for perseverance in prayer. We must not give up on fate while waiting on
God in prayer. Lack of faith in God is a sin. When we trust God, we do not have
alternative plans. We know by default, that God cannot fail, there is no other option
than to wait.

Faith in God is like driving on a one way, you cannot turn back. You must
consistently believe in God’s promises, even in the midst of obvious impossibility
by man’s reasoning. Just as God told Elijah I have commanded the ravens to feed
thee (1 Kings 17:4). Those things that look impossible are the tools God uses in
answering our prayers. Elijah obeyed the Lord, eating “bread and flesh” in the
morning and night. Those who trust God do not take a step ahead of God. You
must learn to wait on God and always allow him to lead the way as He goes before you.
Isaiah 45:2

I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will
break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:”

The moment we cannot make decisions until will get clearance from God, it is then we
have been able to build our trust in Him. Elijah will not stay by the brook forever.
1 Kings17:7

“And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up because
there has been no rain in the land”.

Today, we may think that common sense should tell Elijah to leave the place and find an alternative shortcut to his life faced by the danger of famine. However, Elijah will not take a step without getting clearance from the Lord. 1 Kings 17:9

“Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon,
and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain
thee”.

A widow to sustain a man in famine! God sees the end before every beginning. Elijah is a habitual doer of God’s Word. He did not ask questions or begin to reason, why, how, or where …, he rather acted on the unfailing Word of the living God.

If I may ask, what are you trusting God for? Anything you are thinking about is not
impossible with God. I mean anything. Start asking while closing your eyes to the
present realities, limitation, challenges, … just look unto God.

Prayers:

Lord, I want to be addicted to prayer. Please help me to always hear from you, make me a praying machine.
Lord, keep me under the surveillance of the Holy Ghost and deep me in the pool of your Grace (2 Corinthians 12:19 “But my Grace is sufficient for thee: …)
Lord, remove stagnation and let every evil in my life go to extinction
